Tessan even equips nurses

Specializing in medical innovation for several years now, Tessan is working with doctors and local authorities to eliminate medical deserts and improve care for the French population.

Thanks to advanced, intuitive technological tools, Tessan now enables nurses in France to work in better conditions. Focus on these revolutionary tools, destined to become more and more a part of our daily lives.

Technology at the service of patients

Although numerous measures have been put in place in France to enable as many patients as possible to receive rapid treatment, patients sometimes come up against obstacles such as long waiting times or surgeries that are too far from their homes.

Since 2017, Tessan has been developing technological tools to remove certain obstacles, notably through the creation of the teleconsultation cabin equipped with several connected devices such as blood pressure monitors or stethoscopes.

This compact, fully-featured booth can be installed in pharmacies or town halls, enabling patients to be examined quickly by a qualified, competent doctor, without having to visit the doctor's surgery.

With a capacity of two people, including those with reduced mobility, the teleconsultation booth guarantees all patients a rapid diagnosis, accompanied by the issue of a prescription when necessary.

Helping nurses in the office and at home

The teleconsultation booth is undoubtedly Tessan's flagship product, but the French company has also developed solutions that are less bulky and even transportable, to enable all healthcare professionals to benefit from the advantages of connected medical equipment.

This more compact solution is the teleconsultation terminal. Easy to install in a nurse's surgery or in a small room in a town hall or pharmacy, the terminal puts patients in touch with a doctor if they so wish. An excellent solution for reinforcing a care team in an often overcrowded nursing practice.

In addition to this teleconsultation terminal equipped with various connected devices enabling the doctor to carry out his consultation remotely, Tessan offers nurses traveling to their patients' homes a connected teleconsultation case.

This case, containing a computer and a number of connected devices, will enable nurses to work more efficiently and make diagnoses that are as accurate as those made in the office. This solution greatly expands the possibilities of home visits, particularly for elderly or injured people who are unable to travel.

How do teleconsultation booths and terminals work?

The difference between the booth and the teleconsultation terminal is the format. The booth creates a confidential space which, once the door is closed, completely isolates the patient and the doctor, both visually and audibly. This is a very practical solution, especially as the booth is equipped with shelves to enable pharmacies or town halls that have them to avoid wasting a lot of storage space.

However, the teleconsultation booth is quite imposing (with a floor area of around two square meters and a height of over two and a half meters), so it can't be installed everywhere.

That's where the bollard comes in. On the ground, less than one square meter is required to install it, while it measures less than one meter sixty in height. Conveniently mounted on castors, the bollard can be installed in a small, unused room, whether in town hallIn this way, patients can enjoy the same level of confidentiality as they would in a doctor's surgery.

The only difference with the cabin is that the medical terminal does not include a connected scale. However, a conventional scale can be installed on the side of the kiosk, enabling the patient to indicate his or her weight to the doctor.

Both in the terminal and in the cabin, patients will be able to use stethoscopes, dermatoscopes, otoscopes, oximeters, thermometers and blood pressure monitors, all connected to each other. By following the instructions of the doctor with whom the patient will be connected via the computer, the patient will be able to manipulate all the instruments, enabling the doctor to make a diagnosis as precise as in the office. If necessary, the doctor can then issue a prescription for a medical examination or medication.

In conclusion...

More advanced than online consultation, teleconsultation via a booth or kiosk enables patients to benefit from reliable medical advice by being put in touch with a general practitioner or specialist who offers the consultation remotely, a technological advance that is already helping many communes to combat medical deserts and guarantee their residents better access to care.
